People With Alot Of Pets
pets? I happen to be one of em I have 4 rats, 2 mice, 4 snakes, 5 cats, 6 dogs, 4 gold fish, 1 mini shake, 2 eels, 2 bearded dragon, 3 blue tongued skink, 4 chameleon, 4 Iguanas, 3 gecko, and 2 savannah. I love all of my pets and take very good care of them I feel a person should beable to have has many pets as they want as long as they have the room to keep them and are able to keep the area in which the animal lives clean and stuff. I also think having alot of animals around helps with stress ect.. What do you think about this?

I’M SORRY…. WHAT WAS THE NAME OF YOUR ZOO?
WOW! I FEEL COMPLETELY INADEQUATE, I ONLY HAVE 4 DOGS AND 2 CATS. I WOULD EVENTUALLY LOVE 2 HAVE A COLLECTION OF EXOTIC, COLORFUL SALT WATER FISH, A COUPLE OF UMBRELLA COCKATOOS AND A FEW OTHER THINGS, AND OF COURSE LOTS MORE DOGS. MY FEELING IS THAT U CAN HAVE GOOD INTENTIONS BUT U NEED 2 B ABLE 2 TAKE CARE OF YOUR PETS IN EVERY WAY, NOT JUST FOOD AND SHELTER, BUT LOVE, ATTENTION, PROPER VET CARE AND A CLEAN , SAFE AND OPPROPRIATE LIVING ENVIROMENT.

If I lived on a farm, I would probably pick up every stray I could find. We have one “short person with fur” and she’s great!

Having a lot of pets is OK as long as you can actually provide everything they need to be happy. Now, out of all the pets you have, the only ones that actually need handling are the dogs and, to a lesser extent, your cats, the rest of your animals do well by themselves as long as you provide all their physical needs (although I don’t agree with having reptiles or amphibians for the simple reason that no matter how much we want to or how much money we spend on their habitats, we are not yet able to reproduce their life in the wild so I think they are better off left where they belong). You also have to consider vet bills, all animals need to have annual check ups and specialized vets are quite expensive and not so easy to find. Feeding, housing and loving them is not enough if there is no medical care and, frankly, I doubt that you are taking all these animals to the vet on an annual basis unless you are a millionaire or a vet, yourself. So, be careful you don’t become a ‘hoarder’.

I ‘m a person who has 9 sweet pets. I love them so much. Heres what i have: I have one 1yr. old black and different shades of brown Labrador/ German Shepherd mix boy; 3 bunnies ( 2 girls at 11 wks old and 1 boy at 1 yr. old); 1 white goldfish and 4 boy parakeets. I love animals and love helping them out. I HATE people who neglect and abuse them. I help out my neighbor in taking care of her bunnies. She has a bunch since they give out a litter every month. I hope they seperate them since they have so many bunnies now. I hope they will come to realize there are other bunnies out there looking for a home. I tell them but they want money…i told them good luck with finding buyers…
anywayz…I love animals and when I have my own place I will definatley make room in my plans for some.

Wow! So there is someone out there crazier than me. I think it’s great that you love animals so much. I have 9 pets in the house, and several barn cats I feed (who I feed too much, as they’re the fattest barn cats I’ve ever seen). I also enjoy feeding the raccoons, skunks, and opposums. How do you do with vet bills? Last year I spent probably $1500 on vet bills and medicine. We really couldn’t afford it, but had to do it anyway. I have such a weakness when it comes to strays, especially if I think they’re hurt or sick? Good luck with your zoo. I wish everyone in the world liked animals that much.

I have 12 cats, 7 dogs, 24 canaries, 1 parrot (and looking for another one) and 1 turtle, I also foster cats for adoption and feed a feral cat colony and an old opposum. I am all in favor of having lots of pets but you need to make sure you have the space, the time, the energy, the knowledge and the money.

Just like everyone else has said there is nothing wrong with having lots of pets as long as they are able to be cared for. I have what my family thinks is a zoo, but I love all animals and wish I had more, but my husband is not wanting me to get more. I raise and breed boxers and beagles. I have 1 brindle female boxer, 1 reverse brindle female boxer and 1 reverse brindle male boxer. I have 1 red and whiter female beagle and 1 lemon and white male beagle. I also have my mutt (german shepard/hound mix) that I got from the pound. The best dog I have ever had. I also have 3 cats, 3 horses and 3 rabbits. I want more animals but my problem is I don’t like chaining up dogs so I have all but my beagles in the house. I want them in the house but my husband says they are hunting dogs and need to be outside. We have fought about this many times. I let them in everyday and they only sleep out in the kennel. I would like to start a rescue. My goal is to build a big barn with kennels in it and heat and air conditioning, and start a rescue, a boarding service and grooming business all in one. Okay I have rambled on and on. I just love talking about my animals, and talk with people that actually understand how I feel. Thanks for listening.
