9 week old staffy
i just picked up my staffy on thursday, the previous owner said he was on weetabix and milk in the morning and that he loved it , but as soon as he came here he has stopped eating it, he had it on the friday but wont eat it since then. i asked the prevvious owner and they said it was ok as long as he was eatin his lunch etc. he wasnt eatin much of his dry food but when he did he wud have it with milk in the other bowl, he tends to eat when im aorund him rather than eatin when left alone, has this happen to neone else? today i got pedigree chum puppy food for him, he enjoyed that and had as much as he was given with some water, it was mixed with the dry food that he has so he still has his old diet in it still slightly. is pedigree chum good for staffys?

I don’t know about the food change, but I will say that my Dach only eats when both my husband and I are both in the room. I think that behavior is pretty common because my Mom says her Lab also does it.
GL with the food change!

Puppies are funny about food. I have had some that would eat anything in sight (literally!) and others that I have had to feed with a sthingy until they are about 5 or 6 months old (I had a chow puppy I actually had to beg her to eat, it would take me almost an hour each feeding). Taking into consideration that they need to be fed three or four times a day (depending on how young they are), it’s a lot of work and a pain in the neck, but I don’t mind the extra work if it means I don’t have to worry they are not eating enough… besides, it’s temporary, they all outgrow it in time. Try the sthingy, see if it works, sometimes it only takes a few times until they feel more secure in their new environment.
Good luck!
