Hello all,

I recently went on a trip to Thailand and came across a monkey that was someone's pet over there.  The gentleman let me hold the monkey and play around with him and I immediately fell in love with it.  It wasn't the typical monkey that one normally thinks of when you picture a monkey.  He had much longer, softer fur and seemed to be a lot more docile than other types of monkeys.

I have attached a picture so that someone could help me ID what type of monkey it is.  Also, if you have any information of their typical mannerisms and if they are typically good pets.  Does anyone know if these are available for purchase in the US and a good source to purchase one from?

Any and all information will be helpful as I am just starting the research process of owning an exotic animal.
