I believe animals should not be allowed in public places, unless that particular place allows it.  Some people are allergic to animals, some people don't like animals, and some people don't want to have an animal disturb their shopping or dining experience.  Also, some animals are not friendly with other animals, and probably could cause a disturbance at that particular public place.  Don't get me wrong, I love my animal, however; I don't believe he belongs in places that don't want him.

I think if your pet is well behaved and the place allows it, there is no reason you shouldn't be able to take your pet with you. I would never take my cats anywhere, but my dog is very social and he loves to go meet new people. I take him anywhere that I can. Smiley

If pets were allow, and everybody will bring. i guess this will create a lot of noises within the office if some were to bring their dogs and cats or birds etc. Perhaps little animals could be allowed such as aquarium types or hamsters etc which seldom make much noise.

Of course Dogs can be in public place, in "appropriate place" but not in working places, they can be a big distraction.

In a park with a concert going on they didn't allow dogs, but there were a few around. One cop told someone to take their dog away, a large dog.

If the animal is social, well behaved, and trained, I don't see any reason why they shouldn't be allowed in public places.  I don't mean places like restaurants (unless there is an outdoor eating area).  If I workd outside the home, Olivia would be fantastic to take to work with me.  She is so very well behaved and loves people.  My youngsters, on the other hand would never handle it well.  They are too young yet.  I take them wherever I go for the most part.  They are part of my family and leaving them home is like leaving my kids at home!
