Birds having babies

I have a parakeet who is laying on 6 eggs at the bottom of the cage. Everything I do is not working, I bought her a bird house to put into the cage and she still has not gotten in it, should I put the eggs in the box myself.  The eggs should have to hatch at the bottom of the cage or is this ok.

Thanks for the advice. We feel we are too close to hatching to freeze these eggs, so we are letting them hatch. If she lays more before we can remove the next box, we will definitely freeze those. That is a great idea. We are giving them darker too. Hopefully this will help. Both parents seem to be doing okay. They have seed, pellets, greens, cattle bone, treat sticks and vitamin powder on their food. I think they have more variety in their diet than I do. You need to leave them in there for a minimum of 30 days or she will just lay more to replace.

Your bird still need proper care from your side. Do proper care of her by taking them good food to feed. Also include seeds, vitamin supplements which will keep them healthy in these timings.
