They say it comes in three's

A few months ago my English cocker spaniel died at 14 years old. Today I found out that our German shepherd who is only 5 has cancer. He has a really big tumor in his stomach and the cancer has spreaded to his lungs. The vet said they can't give us any time frame but that our dog is still eating and drinking okay. She said we will know when its time to put him down. BUT she thinks it will be really soon.

I am very sorry to hear that. It's always hard to loose a geriatic pet, but even worse to loose one that has not been in this world for very long. I hope that the rest of his days are happy.
