My kitten won't stop trying to nurse!

I have been keeping my pet kitten, Tootsie, in the house for over a month and she still has the habit of sucking on pillows, i guess thinking milk will come out of them. Is it normal for them to keep doing this for over a month?? If not, how should I break her from the habit? She can eat fine on her own, i dont know why she still wants to nurse.

How old is this kitten and how old was she when she was taken away from mom.  Some kittens form this habit when taken from mom too early..it's not horrible that she is doing this..and definately not unheard of.

There are many cats who continue this behavior throughout their lifetimes, particularly, as rumor has it, if the kitten was weaned too early.  It's not a harmful habit, and you may cause more psychological and social problems with her if you try to force her to quit than if you just let her do it.

Be glad the object of her attention is not your neck or ear lobes.  Been there, done that -- it can get a little slimey.

Perfectly normal.  I would not try to stop her unless she is tearing the pillow apart.  I have a 5 year old cat that I have raised since 3-4 wks old (his wild mother cat was ran over), he still likes to knead on me.  He had 2 other brothers that never wanted to do this, but he did and that is what made me decide to keep him.
