Reagan attacks
Jan 31st, 2010 at 9:17pm

I have a cat named Reagan whom I have had since he was 3 weeks old and he is now 7 years old and attacking the other animals in the house. He just attacked my 9 year old pitt who is deathly afraid of him and who raised Reagan from a kitten on up. Can anyone give me some ideas as to why he does this. My other cats are also afraid of him, the only one in my house not afraid of Reagan is Chloe my 14 year old cockapoo. I'm thinking of taking him to the vet. Does anyone have any ideas.

Sounds like a vet visit is a good idea.  Cats are funny creatures too.  I know they seem to place "blame" on everyone else, human or animal if they have been hurt or are sick and sometimes lash out at every one.  Getting him checked out would be the first step and then if he is okay trying to figure out what prompted him to start attacking will be next.  Hope you get some answers soon.

Thanks for your reply somanykitties, I too think a vet visit is appropiate. I am wondering if prednisone is the cause of his behavior, he has asthma and has to take prednisone for 10 days twice a day.  We will see
