Online shopping is a better source of pet supplies. Online stores like Pet Street Mall gives better deals and cheaper prices

Hi there, I voted for the pet specialty store because I find that the sale prices at Petco suit my needs for catfood and you get special discounts the more you purchase on future purchases with their free pet club card.  But I do check out ebay and online stores for nonfood items so it depends on the items.

I have bought from various sources in the past.  Currently, though, I find the on-line site I'm using more personable and animal-friendly.  I have dogs, birds, a rabbit, a turtle and I like to read the pet stories and submit stories about my own pets.  I like to accumulate the Pet Points to use in the future too.  I also like their discounts and shipping prices.  For those who are interested, here it is:  http://www.debsmarket.info

I couldn't decide between Online or Specialty Store. Technically, Drs. Foster and Smith are both. I live close enough that I get my supplies from the retail store.

I started buying my pet supplies and pet meds at PetCareRX.com a few months ago. Just last week I purchased Advantix Flea Killer from PetcareRX at about 20% off retail price. PetCareRX also offers free shipping on orders over $35 which means that the money you save on their products isn't spent on expensive shipping costs.

I am not sure about Online Shopping for pets I will never recommend. You can get the medicines for your pets online no harm in that.

I get food from a local supplier who carries some good natural ones.  I get shampoo and a salve/ointment for skin care at www.youngliving.org/MBSTARR This stuff is made from essential oils that are nontoxic and very healing.

It depends on what type of supplies your talking about.

For dog food, i buy it at a pet specialty retailer.
For K9 Advantix, i buy it at Amazon. They are usally cheaper than 800-petmeds, and they shipping is cheaper too.
