why do you love your pet??

hi my name is ashley, im doing research into the relationships people have with their pets and would interested to hear what everyone has to say to some questions i have.. thank you for your time

what made you want a pet??

when you were looking for a pet, what made you decide to get the one you have??

have you ever given a pet to someone else, if so why??

when your pet is not around what reminds you of them??

what kind of relationship do you have with your pet??

what do you feel your pet gives you??

what made you want a pet?? - I wanted something to cuddle and play with

when you were looking for a pet, what made you decide to get the one you have?? - a pet that is sweet and loyal, and dogs are best known for that

have you ever given a pet to someone else, if so why?? - not yet

what do you feel your pet gives you? - love, loyalty and companionship

I wanted a pet because I love animals, its companionship, they can easily lift your mood, and they are always there at home for you.
My dog is exactly all of these things. And he is never mad or angry at me.
I have never given a pet to anyone... unless you know that your friend wants a pet and which pet exactly, I think it's a bit too much of a responsibility for the friend. An animal requires a lot of attention, love and care, and should not be a random gift

"My pet is a dog. There are few reasons I want to have a dog. Dog is a very loyal animal. It is very important for security reason. It gives me pleasure, keeps me active."

when you were looking for a pet, what made you decide to get the one you have??
"I generally like dogs. Other animals such as cats are not so playful like dogs"

when your pet is not around what reminds you of them??
"My dog used to sleep on my foot. I remember him if he is not around"

what do you feel your pet gives you?
" My dog is giving me pleasure, fun, security"

Reply #5 - Nov 29^th, 2009 at 3:16pm my babies met me by accident actually. i didn't plan on having cats coz the last cat i had was when i was 7. i love em coz they feel it when you're sad and down, somehow they make me better by just rubbing themselves on me.

what made you want a pet?? I got my first cat 2 weeks before I was born and had her till I was 18. Being without a cat just didn't seem right.

when you were looking for a pet, what made you decide to get the one you have?? I only intentially got 1 kitty the other 2 were rescues. Trouble was the one that I got on purpose and I couldn't tell you what drew her to me but I sometimes think God did because she was real sick and I don't think some other people would have put the effort, time, and money into her that I did right after adopting her. She is now 11.

have you ever given a pet to someone else, if so why?? I adopted out foster kitties but that is all.

when your pet is not around what reminds you of them?? Just a warm feeling

what kind of relationship do you have with your pet?? I don't have children and probably won't have them - they are my children

what do you feel your pet gives you?? love and trust unconditionally.

Animal psychology is still a limited field of research principally because of the lack of verbal communication between animals and humans.It is not clear if the behavior of pets towards humans is due to emotions and feelings or due to dependency and territory-sharing. However, animals have shown in real situations behavior that seems to indicate feelings as love and loyalty.

companionship for the family and to teach my daughter responsability

She seemed more intelligent and present than the others.

Yes I had to move and could no longer accommodate my cat stars so i interviewed all my friends who knew her and picked the one who wanted her and had the best yard.

Reply #12 - Aug 4^th, 2010 at 11:46am I had not owned pets for a while because of a tragedy but have gotten into owning again now that my daughter is getting old enough to care for them herself. She loves animals. All kinds and it is very nice to see her interact with them. So her happiness is what I enjoy now.
