The name Lovebird stems from these parrots' strong, monogamous pair bonding and the long periods of time in which paired birds will spend sat beside one another. Lovebirds live in small flocks and eat mainly fruit, vegetables, some grasses and seed. Their average lifespan is 10 to 15 years.

I love lovebirds. My uncle had a huge cage full of them and they seemed so happy and cheerful and singing all the time. But they need to be taken care of. They are not difficult and yet they are most lovable when cared for in the right way. Since they love climbing, maybe you can have horizontal bars in the cage so they can keep climbing.
